| Project Description | 2025 MVBN Trial at Saskatoon, SK Soil: Elstow orthic dark brown clay loam Fertilizer: 32-21-0-0 @ 56 kg/ha (50 lbs/ac) The growing season at Kernen was characterized by overall cool conditions with almost no rain received between May 1 and June 7 which allowed for seeding to be completed before 3rdweek of May. From June 7 to August 10 conditions remained cool with almost 8” of rain received. Several strong storms caused significant lodging in the plots. Harvest began in the second week of August under warm and dry conditions with no rain received during harvest. Protein should be within acceptable range and no chitting should be observed. |
